Chris Dickerson Outrighted To Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees

The New York Yankees announced outfielder Chris Dickerson cleared waivers and was outrighted off the 40-man roster to the roster of the AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees , reports Wallace Matthews of ESPNNewYork.com.

This move opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Eric Chavez, who signed last week but hasn’t officially been added to the roster. While Dickerson has been outrighted to Scranton, he will remain in camp with the Yankees major league club for the remainder of spring training.

The Yankees acquired Dickerson in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers last year for right-handed reliever Sergio Mitre.

Dickerson had a .260 BA with 1 home run and 7 RBI’s in 50 at-bats for the Yankees last season.
