Game 66: Infield Goes Deep

1B: Mark Teixeira hit 2 2-Run Home Runs (21 to tie with Granderson/Bautista) and they were from both sides of the plate.
2B: Robinson Cano hit a 3-run Home Run.
SS: Eduardo Nunez (Happy Birthday to him) hit a Solo Home Run.
3B: Ramiro Pena hit a Solo Home Run.

I don’t know how often it has happened, but as you can see above, the entire Yankees infield hit a home run tonight in the second consecutive 12-run game by the Bombers.

Ivan Nova gave up 2 runs in the 1st inning but mainly the Yankees infield backed up the young pitcher as they accounted for 9 of the 12 runs tonight.

The Yankees have scored 24 runs in 2 games without Derek Jeter.

It has also been announced that Brian Gordon will start for the Yankees tomorrow.

This Brian Gordon start should be very interesting. Gotta keep up the hitting spree.
